Miyama is a highly intelligent but socially awkward student who secretly works as Death Crow, an agent of Shooting Star. Slow-moving, she wears thick glasses (which she removes in battle) and is indifferent to her appearance. Shooting Star gave her a sense of appreciation when she was feeling vulnerable, motivating her to begin acting against the Anima Mundi.

Miyama’s intelligence often leads to frustration with her teammates, Jun and Hatoko, who are not nearly as quick-witted. After Shooting Star’s loss, the three decide to stop supporting Rosenkreuz and instead protect the city as the “Akihabara Dendō Shibire-gumi.” By the time of the 2011-nen no Natsuyasumi film, Miyama has continued her education and chooses to support the Anima Mundi when called upon by Jun.

In battle, Miyama uses the Avatar Skeleton, with her Apostle (or false Diva) being Asmodeus. Unlike Jun and Hatoko, who favor direct attacks, Miyama relies on traps and strategic schemes.

Miyama’s speech is uniquely poetic and often conveyed through dense literary-style text onscreen.

Miyama is named for the Soshigaya-Ōkura station in Setagaya, Tokyo.
