Uzura is an energetic, optimistic, and ambitious girl, especially when it comes to her romantic interests. She first appears as a guest character in the 8th episode of Akihabara Dennō Gumi and later takes on a more prominent role in the 2011 film 2011-nen no Natsuyasumi.

Uzura is introduced as Hibari’s secret admirer, a classmate who dreams of a romantic relationship with her. Since Hibari doesn’t return her feelings, Suzume and Tsugumi help devise a plan to make Uzura believe Hibari already has a boyfriend (Tsugumi in drag). However, the plan fails, and Hibari must be honest about not being mutually attracted to Uzura. It is later revealed that Uzura’s attraction to Hibari is mostly based on her slim, flat-chested figure. When Uzura sees Kamome without her breast padding, she quickly becomes infatuated with Kamome instead.

After Kamome returns to Osaka between the TV series and the movie, Uzura joins the Anima Mundi team in 2011-nen no Natsuyasumi. Although she primarily provides support to the girls when they go off to aid Crane, she is also shown to still be attracted to Kamome and has developed an attraction to Tsubame as well.

Uzura is predominantly portrayed as a one-note, comedic “predatory lesbian” character trope, a stereotype that surfaced in some anime from this time period.
