Tsubame is a quiet, cruel girl who was raised in France without affection to function as an Anima Mundi. When she’s first introduced, Tsubame intentionally hurts her Pata Pi, Petit-Ange, and ruthlessly challenges the other girls in battle, hoping to defeat them. Tsubame sees battle like a game and always aims to win, lacking empathy for those who may be harmed by her actions.

Raised by Cigogne almost as part of a scientific experiment, Tsubame has never experienced kindness or familial love. Initially aligned with Rosenkreuz, Hibari’s persistent affection and her desire to show Tsubame that the world doesn’t have to be cruel eventually leads her to switch sides. From that point on, Tsubame is taken in by Hibari’s family, where she experiences love for the first time through simple acts like sharing food and sleeping beside one another.

Tsubame is the second girl in the series to achieve spiritual fusion with her Diva, and despite being small enough to pass for an elementary school student, she proves to be a formidable opponent.

Tsubame is named for Ōtorii Station in Ōta, Tokyo, and the barn swallow.
